Magazines
- Time
Start here for the basics.
- Slate
This is the slick on-line magazine that Bill Gates hired Michael
Kinsley to create. Kinsley is the skinny guy with the bug eyes,
big glasses and whiny voice who used to co-anchor "Firing
Line". Articles are pretty good, especially if you want to
feel that you're on top of what the young policy wonks in Washington
are talking about over their beers. Try the "In Other Magazines"
feature for some good summaries of current stories in other magazines.
- The Economist
What better way to stay on top of developments in America than
with this venerable English rag?
- Utne Reader
Mr. Utne---yes a real guy---puts out a monthly "readers guide"
for thinking people. Often excellent.
- The Atlantic Monthly
A magazine that actually challenges it readers; you may struggle
through some of the articles, but usually you'll be better for
it.
